What the legal form means for you

A ditta individuale is not a limited company. There is no corporate veil between the business and me, which means I carry unlimited personal liability for it. That is worth knowing before you sign something: it is a weaker position than contracting with an SRL in one respect, and a stronger one in another — there is no entity I can wind up to walk away from an obligation.

If your counsel would rather contract with a limited company, say so early. It is a change I can make, and it is a reasonable thing to ask for at this size of engagement.
